Saucy Wench BBQ Sauce takes home high honors at NBBQA national conference

Louisville, Ky. – March 6, 2014 — The National Barbecue Association (NBBQA) has announced that local product Saucy Wench BBQ, was among the top winners in this year’s Awards of Excellence competition, earning Third place in the Vinegar Mild category. The award was announced at the organization’s annual conference held March 5-9 in San Marcos, Texas.

“BBQ enthusiasts from all over the country come here to measure their products against their peers,” said Roy Slicker, association president. “It’s a competitive field with top-notch products, and a NBBQA Award of Excellence medal is quickly becoming one of the most coveted awards in the foodservice industry.”

The annual competition recognizes the very best barbecue products across several industry categories, and the winners, representing 25 states and two Canadian provinces, were selected from among 533 total submissions.
